#BEAMOTHER WRAPPED: 2021

3 min read

This year marked the start of a new era at A Pea in the Pod, and we want to take a moment to look back on all our favorite launches, muses, campaigns, and moments of reinvention.

THE MODERN MUSE SERIES

From Alexandra Richards to our friends at Something Navy & all the muses in-between, we’ve been busy this year catching up with the women that inspire us the most.

We kicked off the year chatting withTara Moni, Director of Brand Partnerships for Something Navy, before she gave birth to her baby boy. We then caught up with jewelry designer Bruna Tenorio on post-baby life, kicked off our series with DJ & modelAlexandra Richards, talked all things style and career with Arielle Charnas, got the inside scoop on modeling fromDevon Windsor, and worked out with fitness mavenMegan Roup.  From Alexandra Richards to our friends at Something Navy & all the muses in-between, we’ve been busy this year catching up with the women that inspire us the most.

These are women who balance being new moms with busy careers, successful brands, all while keeping the chic as they get it all done. So let’s hit rewind & see how our 2021 muses stayed true to their personal style for 1st to 4th.

JANUARY TARA MONI

“My style is feminine and sophisticated, with infusion of trend. I normally gravitate towards more flowy, oversized clothing.”

“While that hasn’t changed completely, I do appreciate more ‘bodycon’ styles so I can show off the bump.”

FEBRUARY – BRUNA TENORIO

“COMFORT is the word. It also needs to be practical when it comes to breastfeeding, even at home. I’m all about soft fabric nursing shirts, dresses, cozy pants and flats or running sneakers.”

APRIL & MAY – ALEXANDRA RICHARDS

"My style has evolved by learning a little bit more about the fashion world and learning about different designers."

"I've always felt very comfortable in a jean and T-shirt, but when I go to events, I love to show off my body. I work out, so I'm very proud of it. I love to throw something sexy on and have a moment."

JUNE – ARIELLE CHARNAS

“My style inspiration is the Something Navy community, always. All that matters is that you feel confident in what you’re wearing. Also, invest in timeless handbags.”

JULY – DEVON WINDSOR

“My style is ever-changing and it honestly depends on the day as well as where I am or what I’m doing. New York me is much different than Miami me! Sometimes I feel like putting on sneakers and baggy jeans and other times a flowy floral dress.”

& postpartum:

“I would say I am more casual now. I used to get dressed up every time I went somewhere and now I’m into more comfortable pieces.”

AUGUST & SEPTEMBER – MEGAN ROUP

“I would say my style is simple, classic, and feminine.”

THE HIGHLIGHTS

It feels like just yesterday we ushered in a new era at Pea with our RETURN TO LUXE campaign. The rest of the year built upon the idea that 1st to 4th style can be just as personal as your current style – only updated for now. Read more about RETURN TO LUXE here.

#BEAMOTHER became a pillar of what A Pea in the Pod stands for – another highlight of our year. “To be a mother is to celebrate strength, confidence, and individuality.” Continue reading here.

THE COLLABORATIONS

In 2021, we partnered with Something Navy to create exclusive & unique capsule collections that included handpicked styles from the team at SN.

The various drops included a Luxe Collection: elevated basics made with premium fabric that retains its shape; a spring/summer collection that featured the must-have feminine frocks of the season; and finally, a fall/winter collection with cozy staples & holiday showstoppers.

It’s been a year of transformation and reinvention here at Pea, and we couldn’t be more excited for 2022 & beyond. More style, more muses, and more stories await.
