We’re ushering in National Breastfeeding Month with a behind-the-scenes look at our newest shoot with model & new mom Fernanda Kinder. Plus, we’re taking you inside our upcoming campaign with fitness superstar Megan Roup, shot at her home in Los Angeles.
If Fernanda looks familiar, it’s because she is. As the face of our Return to Luxe campaign, this Brazilian beauty helped us introduce a new era at A Pea in the Pod – one that never compromises & never says no to skinny jeans.
Our in-house stylist, Jackie, and creative director, Mia, gave us the inside scoop on what these shoots with our newest Modern Muses looked like, and the must-have nursing styles they loved (that you’ll love, too!)
SKIN ON SKIN WITH FERNANDA
Spotted: Fernanda, setting the trend while pregnant with son Kauai.
Fernanda, who was pregnant during our Return to Luxe shoot, was radiant as a new mom and felt excited about this full circle moment.
Mia chimes in: “For the first part of the shoot, it was all about capturing that intimate skin on skin moment and showing Fernanda with her baby and that deep connection through those softer moments. We wanted to capture that feel of those late nights and early mornings that moms experience.”
“When we thought about fashion for the shoot, we almost wanted to show the other side – how you are as a mom and a woman when you are out in the world – either with your baby in tow or not. We wanted the styling to feel personalized and reworked to her.”
“Watching Fernanda interact with her son Kauai was a joy to witness. Their ease and energy radiated on set, and it was clear how much he trusted her. It really brought an added element into the shoot and was the perfect way to show how these clothes can actually work in real life as a mom with a baby, without compromising on style.”

Our styling throughout this shoot truly reflects the new chapter of Pea that embodies rule-breaking, trendsetting, and exuding confidence at every turn.”
IN LA WITH MEGAN
Before the official launch of our series with Megan Roup, we’re giving you a teaser of what a day in the life of Megan looks like – as she balances being a new mom, successful businesswoman, and all-around badass.
Mia on the day of: “I loved her honesty as a new mom and hearing about the highs and lows that comes with feeding a newborn. Watching Harlow fall asleep on Megan during their photo session on the couch was a highlight of the day.”
WHAT MEGAN LOVED:
Jackie on styling Megan: “This shoot was all about the styles she would wear regularly. Our styling was focused around the looks she would feel comfortable in and typically buy for herself. We made sure every piece felt genuine to her style and she accessorized with her own shoes, jewelry and handbag.”
